DELIVERING FOR COMMUNITY ORGANISATIONS IN EDEN-MONARO
03 May 2017
I’m delighted to announce today that 15 local community organisation in Eden-Monaro will share in more than $47,000 in federal funding.
As the federal member I am proud to see the strong community spirit in Eden-Monaro supported by our community organisations that run overwhelmingly on the back of hard working and dedicated volunteers.
Volunteers are the lifeblood of the community. The selfless work of volunteers in community organisations upholds the cohesiveness of our community and I acknowledge and recognise the invaluable contribution of volunteers in Eden-Monaro.
The successful community organisations will receive grants of between $1,000 and $5,000 which will go a long way towards assisting community organisations in purchasing equipment, training volunteers and assisting volunteers with any travel costs.
I will proudly continue to fight for Eden-Monaro to get its fair share from Canberra and will continue my strong record of delivering improved local health infrastructure, schools, roads and community projects.
